Where should we eat?

 

At Villa Söderåsen you wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee and homemade bread – breakfast is included in the B&B stay and can usually also be ordered when you book the whole house. It is popular to buy the house's packed lunch that you prepare from the house's breakfast. When you book the whole house, Villa Söderåsen's "fika" on arrival (coffee/tea with pastry or sandwich) can also be booked. The house has a well-equipped guest kitchen, several grills in the garden and a ICA-supermarket just around the corner. 

If you want to eat out, you can choose between the village's restaurants: creative, locally inspired menus at Stationen, the chef's tasting menu at Gästis, Swedish pizza at Roma or classic meatball and shrimp sandwiches at Cafe Fenix. A little further away, Bialits Värdshus offers a traditional Scandinavian lunch menu and close to Klippan is Bjärhus gård – one of Skåne's finest farm shops with Friday lunches and top-class catering.

Villa Söderåsen

The house's breakfast, a very popular homemade vegetarian and mostly organic breakfast buffet, is included when you book B&B stays at Villa Söderåsen and can usually be purchased as an add-on for those who book the whole house. Here you will find freshly baked bread, rolls, rye bread and crispbread. On the buffet there are plenty of toppings such as cheeses and marmalades but also a selection of nut and seed butters as well as fresh vegetables. Here you will find boiled eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit, smoothies, ginger shots and of course juice, coffee and tea with both cow's milk and plant-based milk drink. We always have vegan and gluten-free options.

It is popular to book for the house's packed lunch , which you prepare yourself from the breakfast buffet.

At Villa Söderåsen there is a fully equipped guest kitchen to use for those who want to cook and our large and secluded garden has nice bbq facilities.

Stationen Röstånga

Just a couple of minutes' walk from Villa Söderåsen is Stationen Röstånga, a popular and personal restaurant located in a historic train station building from 1892. The restaurant is known for its bohemian atmosphere, local ingredients and food prepared with love and creativity. 

We work closely with Anna & Daniel, our friends and restaurateurs at Stationen - both in terms of group bookings and catering. Most of our parties, retreats and gatherings who book the whole house, order the food from Stationen. You book your own table, possibly catering and see menus and opening hours on their website. 

Stationen received the award for "Skåne's Best Meeting Place 2024", but the best rating is probably that we Fam. Mullaert, eat at Stationen very often ... sometimes in high season, several times a week.

Our neighbors and new owners since 2025 invite you to a fixed chef's tasting menu of 3 or 5 dishes in an environment mixed with old traditions and newfangled gimmicks. 

Dinner takes 3-4 hours so make sure you bring a nice company! If you want to take part in a presentation by the head chef and sommelier, it starts at 18.30. If you're lucky, you might also run into the new owner Mats, an exuberant and energetic entrepreneur.

A stone's throw from Villa Söderåsen you will find the village's pizzeria Roma which has much more than just pizza. The menu also includes entrecote, kebabs, burgers, falafel etc. 

You can choose to eat at Roma or take away and eat at Villa Söderåsen.

Fenix Café


Fenix Café & Konditori (also known as Larsson & Larsson) is a popular stop in Röstånga, located in a nostalgic old bank building along the road 108 – right at the entrance to Villa Söderåsen. 

It serves classic Swedish fika with a large selection of cakes and pastries as well as Swedish  favourites such as meatball, shrimp and herring sandwiches. Here you can also buy cheeses and delicacies as well as buy locally produced handicrafts. 

For groups at Villa Söderåsen , it is possible to pre-order pastries, cakes, bread etc.
